At the Expert Panel Meeting on the HZMB Alignment organized by the National Development and Reform Commission and held in Zhuhai in April 2005, the Expert Panel Meeting recommended the Northern bridge-cum-tunnel alignment as preferred option with landing points at San Shek Wan in Northwest Lantau of the HKSAR, Gongbei in Zhuhai and A P¨¦rola in the Macao SAR.
